DEEP ROCK GALACTIC: ROGUE CORE is a 1-4 player co-op FPS roguelite featuring 100% destructible environments and procedurally-generated caves. Join a team of dwarven Reclaimers tasked with reestablishing control over lost deep mining operations on Hoxxes IV.
Feels like it doesn't know what kind of game it wants to be.
The lore sets up the Reclaimers as an elite, one-of-a-kind unit sent into the deepest, most dangerous sectors. However, with how the game currently plays, I feel like the standard DRG Dwarves could handle these missions like any other Tuesday with their equipment.
My biggest personal gripe...
I like the game but the time limit makes me wanna cry
you're telling me i have to panic the whole time, hope to get all upgrades and get confused on if i have everything on the level or not while running for my life and not getting touched by big nasty worms? please take the time limit out or at least make it double.
i wanna have fun and not look at...
Can't be recommended until they commit to the roguelike aspect of the game, seems like they are just reinventing the original game.
I have already given up on promises of Dark and Serious version of DRG.
I love Deep Rock Galactic, so I had high hopes for this game, but genuinely, it just doesn't hit the same. Playing this game feels more like a chore to me compared to its counterpart. I wish they had stuck with DRG and released more frequent updates for that game instead of putting it on the backburner. It really sucked going through such long droughts...
My opinion of Rogue Core has improved substantially since release. This is a solid game now, it just lacks content.
