Reception

This road is full of undead and you have to fight and find some food. It is good rogue-like game - at least for few hours.

Death Road to Canada is a really enjoyable and successful roguelite. The usual conventions and trappings of the genre are well suited to both the setting and the presentation of the game, and the novel adaptations of the old Oregon Trail conventions add a great layer of strategy and randomness to the mix. Whilst the environments can be a little repetitive...

There's no doubt that Death Road to Canada makes for a great time, regardless of whether you find yourself in the rogue-like or zombie survival camp. While the game doesn't do much to innovate the genre at large, it's hard to argue with having such a good time.

Death Road to Canada is another in a long line of solid indie titles on the Switch. Great fun on the go, loads of replay value, and lots of fun as a 2-player co-op game

Featuring a character-creation tool that will keep player amused for long, an outstanding sense of humour and a multiplayer mode that will extend its lifespan, Death Road to Canada is a very welcome addition to the Nintendo Switch catalogue and is easily one of the best indie games available on Nintendo's console.
