Roman has my heart for sure <3\nI really want to praise this game, but I was expecting the game to be much longer given the price. Each boy's route lasts 2~ hours, which is fairly short compared to other paid otome games I've played. By the time your relationship develops (which also happens really fast), the story is already over. There is so much more potential to grow their characters or dive into the chat room mystery, but that doesn't really happen.\nI've only tried 2 of the routes so maybe my option will change, but for now I'd say the game is a solid 3/5. It has all of the right elements, just wished that there was more (especially for a game in this genre). If you're someone that likes to complete all routes, then the game might be worth the price. I really want to praise this game, but I was expecting the game to be much longer given the price. Each boy's route lasts 2~ hours, which is fairly short compared to other paid otome games I've played. By the time your relationship develops (which also happens really fast), the story is already over. There is so much more potential to grow their characters or dive into the chat room mystery, but that doesn't really happen.

I've only tried 2 of the routes so maybe my option will change, but for now I'd say the game is a solid 3/5. It has all of the right elements, just wished that there was more (especially for a game in this genre). If you're someone that likes to complete all routes, then the game might be worth the price. However, if you're anything like me, falls for 1 or 2 and be done, I would wait for the game to go on sale.

If there are free DLC with "after stories" in the future, I'll happily bump up my rating :D

THOUGHTS: CUTE BUT THE STORY IS EXTREMELY SHORT

PLOT

The MC came across this "bunny hacker" that has downloaded an app called the " cupid chatroom ". So, the MC went inside an chatted with all of the LI, and just like Mystic Messenger, you will ended up with the person who you collected most heart with

DURATION (per route) : 10mins ~ 25mins

Tbh, it is actually A LOT SHORTER , and for this review it is also included the common chatroom and the indivual chats + endings (good end / bad end) . I was pursuing Daeho's route, honestly, when I first started this game, I got him without even trying much, but then I accidentally quitted the game and have to restart all over to pursue him

After playing other routes I can now confirm the group chats are not the same :3

**Reason why it shows my total gametime is longer than what I wrote its becuz I was mainly day dreaming, and also talking with friends about the game and other things.

Of course 4 hours + of flatter birdy**

User Interface

Cute, but unfriendly and unnecessary

Unnecessary
\nFor example, they have other icons on the desktop, but you can't really do anything with them other than playing their mini game "flutter birdy", galleries, recycle (there are some drawings in it), and chasing music, then click in the middle to enter the chatroom

Cute
\nPink and neat

Unfriendly
\n1. At first I do not know where to save the game, and looking at the main menu there is a "continue", so I thought I would be fine leaving the game and I can continue without saving it, so that's a second replay for me
\n(But, I managed to find it later, so it's ok)

2. The game automatically sets to auto mode, so I tend to miss out some dialogues, or sometimes clicking it, it makes it goes very fast, (took me some time to figure out that it was on an auto mode and I switch it off)

VOICE ACTING

I would say, I really really love Daeho's voice, so I am very excited for the other VA's, this story includes both voice call and video call, and meeting up at the final ending

Honestly, he sounds a bit like Enox from heartcage

so 10/10

FINAL THOUGHTS

A cute and relaxing game, you can buy this on the first week of its release if you have extra cash to spare, otherwise, based on how short this game is , I would say to prioritize the other games on your wishlist first
\n(especially to those who are at on the more expensive region)

To clarify: At the current price it was just nice considering the fact that they have beautiful art and voice acting, but if you would want to have a nice and long game, and not have extra cash, then prioritize other games

WHAT MADE ME BUY THIS GAME ON ITS FIRST RELEASED?

Honestly, it was mainly only because of Daeho, and my groupies have been talking about this game, and a small part of it, this game has been on my wishlist when I saw it was promoted on its social media platforms

RATING

cuteness: 10/10
\nplot: 5/10 (minus 5 points for moving too fast)
\nvoice acting: 10/10 (besides chapman's)

NSFW RATED ?

I had some friends are confuse at the tag and curious as some of them said its fine, some of them said its not
\nSo here is what I see
\n"doing those kind of things via a text message" + them sharing a pic of them only wearing a boxer (or other half showing pics)
\n( that's it, hope it helps :3 )

It’s a thumbs down from me.

At first, I wanted to recommend this game because you can clearly see that the creators genuinely wanted to make something nice and full of soul. \nGreat visuals.

\nGreat NSFW scenes, if considered as a standalone feature.

Cons
\nWhat is the story here?

I can understand why the MC keeps logging into the chat, but why do all the bachelors keep doing it? They just listen to some random person online telling them to use it? Why are they even interested in it in the first place?

Sure, they all have problems in their personal lives, but realistically, if I were any of them, I’d probably just continue sulking by myself and ignore some random app. 😅

As many others have already pointed out, this game is VERY short. Like, VERY VERY short. When I compare it to The Bunny Bond or Heartcage, it just feels lacking.

And because the game is so short, combined with the lack of a clear justification for why the LIs would continue using this chat app, the story overall feels really wonky.

It’s like all these poor, broken men were just sitting around waiting for our snarky MC to show up, tell them that they’re good people, and then have them immediately fall head over heels for her.

Idk. 😂

I can obviously cut the game some slack because it’s a chat-romance game, and I understand that some suspension of disbelief is required. But even with that in mind, it feels way out there.

Overall, it’s a cute game. I bought it on launch because I was honestly expecting something like The Bunny Bond, since I really enjoyed that game.

Unfortunately, it’s just not quite there.

I think it’s a good first game for the devs, and I genuinely hope they continue making games because there’s definitely potential here. But personally, I’d recommend picking this one up on sale — maybe around Christmas or something — rather than paying full price.

★★★☆☆

I genuinely like Cupid’s Chatroom. The artwork is beautiful, the characters are fun, and a lot of the chatroom conversations had me genuinely laughing. There’s clearly a lot of charm here, and I enjoyed the overall concept.

That said, I really don’t think the game is worth $15 in its current state.

That's pretty cute to me. The art is adorable, and I really like how everyone but that tech dude looks. If you like a cute style, it's very for you. On some occasions the writing is very funny, to the point it did make me laugh/crack a smile. I do like how you can kinda tease the older men, Roman and Joseph- that's nice. The aesthetic of the game is very pleasing to look at and the music sounds sweet. I really do like the visual aspects of this game.\nCons:\nThe game is extremely short. Like, extremely so. If you're a fast reader, then this game will feel even shorter for you like it did for me. Some people like short games, I don't, so it's in the con. The romance for the characters, or at least certain characters feel severely lacking. I only played 3 routes so far (got to day 6 of Daeho and quit the game) but so far, the romance isn't hitting at all. I know it's nonsensical to think too much about the game, but there feels to be no genuine connection between player and love interest. One day they're not so into you, the next day they're head over heels for you. It's bogious. I understand that there's only 7 days, but still it just felt all so sudden and all so random to the point I really couldn't enjoy the experience. Especially with Joseph. He was the one I was looking forward to the most but out of the three routes I played, I feel like his let me down the most. The suddenly sick and speaking his true feelings felt cringe and out of character, and then there are times where you could be highly suggestive with him and all of his sudden his daughter is talking to you completely bringing you out the mood. It's crazy- they could've written that segment better, seeing as the player was JUST talking about tying bro up with his ties and all of a sudden it's \"Hiii its me Robin :3\" like what sort of father, especially one who says he adores his daughter so much would just hand over his phone and let her talk to a stranger that he known for a week. A WEEK. It's crazy I'm ngl. The voice acting, for certain characters felt lacking, or took me out of the experience. I felt like for a certain character, they tried really hard to sound sexy and it fell very flat. Another thing is the writing. I will really hound that I understand it's a in-game 7 day romance scenario, but there is no actual plot besides just helping your LI like themselves, or solve their issues that they could've easily solved themselves because they're 20+ (excluding Roman, I liked his route, not a crazy amount but it was interesting enough that I didn't start skipping dialogue like I did to Daeho.) If you easily cringe, you will be cringing this entire game on certain sections. For the r18 they basically treat you like you're submissive/ give you a false option to be \"dominant\" but you're not. It also just assumes you're a bottom for 3/3 characters that I played the route for regardless of your gender. I am assuming it's the same for the other two LI that I probably won't be playing their route anytime soon. Regardless, it gave me an ick- so if you're like me then beware of that.\nThe MC options for dialogue is basically just quirk chungus. If you use discord alot, probably daily, then you might resonate with the options but if you're horribly self aware then you realize MC is just a >-< chaotic bean!!! type of person most of the time or a chronically online person. That might be your style, it isn't mine.\nI definitely would not pay full price for this game seeing as I probably won't ever replay this again and it's genuinely so short. TDLR: If you liked A Date With Death, dilute the game by 10x, remove an actual interesting plot, this is for you.

The demo captivated me a year or so ago, so when I heard they had an official release date, I marked it in my calendar and the day of, actually brought it instead of normally argggh mateeyyy-ing it like I do for other games, so I can give my honest review of it as someone who paid for the game.

PROS:
\nI like the fact that you can choose your pronouns and your username. I really do like the visual aspects of this game.

Cons:
\nThe game is extremely short. It's crazy- they could've written that segment better, seeing as the player was JUST talking about tying bro up with his ties and all of a sudden it's "Hiii its me Robin :3" like what sort of father, especially one who says he adores his daughter so much would just hand over his phone and let her talk to a stranger that he known for a week. For the r18 they basically treat you like you're submissive/ give you a false option to be "dominant" but you're not. It also just assumes you're a bottom for 3/3 characters that I played the route for regardless of your gender. I am assuming it's the same for the other two LI that I probably won't be playing their route anytime soon. Regardless, it gave me an ick- so if you're like me then beware of that.

The MC options for dialogue is basically just quirk chungus. If you use discord alot, probably daily, then you might resonate with the options but if you're horribly self aware then you realize MC is just a >-< chaotic bean!!! type of person most of the time or a chronically online person. That might be your style, it isn't mine.

I definitely would not pay full price for this game seeing as I probably won't ever replay this again and it's genuinely so short. I wish that wasn't the case since I was really looking forward to it, but what can you do, thems the apples.
