Defend your tabletop RPG paper character sheet from invading pixel enemies! Find matches in your tray of dice to power attacks to clear the evil from your shelf full of campaign books. Hardcore match-3 RPG puzzle meets action-strategy tower defence. Far from a casual game!
A mashup of three game genres that's less than the sum of its parts. I would rather play the match-3 individually and either have the shooter automated or not present at all. I wish I could give a neutral review - this isn't bad, but it isn't good enough for me to recommend, either.
The Good:
- The art for the races/species and for the events is beautiful,...
The idea is fantastic, but the gameplay sucks. Play the demo first, and if you like it, wait for the sale. I got mine with 88% discount.
What a fun concept and actually very fun game. Innovation on the match 3 game, a fun roguelike campaign, and a fun anxiety rush trying manage my character and match dice to get resources.
Lots of fun metal multithreading, im looking forward to putting more time into this.
Nice little not-quite tower-defense, heavily RPG and certainly match 3. Reviews claim "tower defense" and the game lists that feature, but all there is that resembles a tower are mercenaries, and they only stay on the board for 20+ seconds and then you have to hire more of them to defend you. I have yet to see a tower.
Okay I was confused by this game...
Got it for almost free and played a bit and didn't hate it - so I guess positive review? But the game feels like it was an id3ea and got built with not much additional thought. A lot of systems work poorly with each other and the UX is pretty bad. Don't get this unless it's on deep sale.
