Reception

CONTROL Resonant finally puts Dylan Faden at the center of the story. One of the franchise's most enigmatic characters, Dylan spent much of the first Control under the care of the Federal Bureau of Control, while his sister Jesse tried to understand the paranatural phenomena threatening the Oldest House. Throughout that journey, it was hard not to wonder...

Control Resonant is a gorgeous, daring step forward that leaves you eager to see where the Bureau goes next.

For those willing to tolerate its quirks and accept the rough edges, Control Resonant offers much to admire. It's unlike anything else you'll see this year, perhaps even next year and the many more after that, and that counts for something.

You may find other action games that play better than Control Resonant, but you’ve never played an action game that’s quite like Control Resonant. At a time where players desire fresh and unique takes on familiar ideas, I can’t imagine a better exhibit for that desire.

Control Resonant brings out the best Remedy is known for: a narrative that is up to par with the best TV and cinema have to offer, a level design on the same level as classics such as Halo or Portal, and a gameplay that is so enjoyable that it will have you exploring every corner of its open world.
