THIS IS A PLATFORMER! Don't be fooled by the fps tag, most of the game is about running and jumping in first person, and the one room where you're explicitly told to fight, its extremely unfair and awkward, where running is the best option, again. Idea is cool and so is the presentation, but the game is full of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ insta deaths with only 5 checkpoints....
Oh yeah. All the rage reviews are totally right. This game will do you super dirty, and catch you with every cheap trick in the book.
The real question here is "Can you beat it anyways?". Cause for less than $5USD this game is a pretty good puzzle that you can brute force with enough patience.
Give it a try if you have a few hours to spare.
After having finished this i'm very torn. I love the design and aesthetic, but the core structural design is sadly intentionally clunky and hostile enough to make this review a "make sure this is your jam" warning even if the game was free. The game being very short is fine, and i think the ending is cute, but it desperately wants to pad out its runtime...
Im extremly split on the game. There is a lot to love here like the visuals, audio and general atmosphere. On the other hand, I simply do not enjoy playing this game. It relies too much on trial and error and there is just not enough chekpoints for that to not get tedious.
Still, for that price it's just hard not to recommend it.
