This is just boring. I had no problem to win whatsoever there was no skill to it. Just build whatever and win whatever you do. You say "play on higher difficulty" but this only makes me have less food and there arent many ways to get more food so you kinda are low on food all the time which again doesnt matter bc you still win with ease.

It's fun, and pioneer difficulty gets challenging on some levels
It is however very unpolished, there are lots of issues where things don't behave like the description says, inconsistency, bad QOL. Still fun though so recommended anyway
Since I got this in a bundle I can't complain about the price. The concept is good but needs a lot more polish and editing. Unit and tower variety is good but balance is not. The production building placement is kind of annoying. If you lose, it's almost always because you ran out of food not having enough choice in food production. Running out of housing...

First point and the most important, the graphics are not too demanding on your GPU, considering for a 5 dollars game (or even less).
