BodyRecords is a chilling horror experience, blending bodycam immersion, microphone sensitivity to your voice, and eerie spaces. Work together with teammates to solve puzzles, evade lurking horrors, and escape. True cooperative play and unsettling atmosphere make every moment a tense challenge.
Unfortunately, the radiation is handled badly. The irradiated enemies are an addition that in my opinion that is detrimental as when you get 3-4 of them on you, you radiation level skyrockets something fierce.
I will say that the open world factor for me was a nice change. A melee ability would be nice to have though as bottles and flares can sometimes...
Had a surprisingly good time with this.
The bodycam visuals look great, the maps have a creepy atmosphere.
The microphone mechanic is especially fun because suddenly your own voice becomes something you have to think about.
“Stay quiet.”
Five seconds later:
“GUYS WHERE ARE YOU?!”
Creature: 👁️👄👁️
This game is definitely better with friends. You actually have to communicate instead of just running around together. The microphone mechanic is probably my favorite part. Making noise when you're trying to hide creates some genuinely tense moments.
The puzzles also require everyone to pay attention, which is nice.
The bodycam effect makes everything 10x worse.
You hear something.
You turn around.
Nothing.
You turn back.
Something is standing there.
And then your friend starts screaming into the microphone.
Good game. Terrible experience for my blood pressure.
