I don't usually review games that are still in Early Access. I'm making an exception here because this game, despite currently being a bit rough around the edges, a bit on the shorter side and in some desperate need of optimizations, is a legit good time and IMO the game's asking price is reasonable and proportionate to the amount of content it currently...
Better Than Dead delivers a satisfying John Woo-style bullet ballet, and it leans into that vibe hard. Grimey Hong Kong is cool.
The revenge premise is simple and it doesn't need to be more than that.
As for the gameplay feel itself: I know it's divisive, but I think it lands in a good spot. Arcadey enough to stay snappy. I like it.

Better than Dead is a first-person, bodycam style shooter set in the gritty slums of Hong Kong where you revenge against a criminal gang. Storytelling is minimal, and the gameplay is similar to tactical shooter - taking covers, peaking around corners, and you have the bullet time ability. It kind of reminds me of F.E.A.R.
Visually, the game looks interesting...
atmosphere is there imo, but 2 key settings are still missing: separate ADS/hip-fire sensitivity and gunshots/ambient stingers. I'll probably check the game out later, but for now, its unplayable
