I love that every song has unique visuals. I'm used to rhythm games having a standard set of graphics applied to every song. Maybe you get something \"fancy\" with BPM changes. Then I saw a custom level from Beatblock on youtube, and that was enough to hook me. The level of effort and creativity put into every chart, official and custom, keeps amazing me. It makes every one unique. There are full-on high-quality music videos charters have created that I thought were official. Only problem is that there aren't more songs.\nOne thing that I was unsure on is the minimalism of the core game. No progress bar or time remaining, no leaderboard or score tracking, no fail condition (🤫), and no timing-based points. After playing for a bit I've come around on this and realized it takes away a lot of the pressure to do well and get a perfect score. I don't have to worry about hitting the taps perfectly, I don't have to worry about a hard section cutting off the rest of the song, and I don't have to feel bad being presented with all the people better than me every play.\nWhether you already like rhythm games, or want to try them without needing to be a god gamer to have fun, you will enjoy Beatblock!","html":"
