This game has never worked for me. Unless an update is made to this game, I don't believe it will run for you. Sometime in the first chapter the game will freeze and you won't be able to play it.
This game is super fun and well made. Simple, but well done. I love how you can rank up your main Hero to be literally unstoppable. The campaign is good but I love playing skirmish mostly. That's where you have longevity in this game.
Its broken for modern hardware.
I originally played Age of Wonders on a Windows 98 PC over two decades ago, so coming back to it after all this time has been a fantastic trip down memory lane. Nostalgia was definitely part of what brought me back, but I was pleasantly surprised by just how well the game still holds up.
The graphics and interface are undeniably from another era, but...
cant play. always crash. it always apear exception during MapViewer.ShowScene.
