The game throws Stars at the speed of light at you, forces you to pass an astronomy exam in at least one level, and occasionally forgets to kill you when you absolutely deserve it.

As somebody who purchased Afterbeat in Early Access all the way back in 2020, it's amazing to see how far the game and its community has grown since then. Seeing a bunch of features throughout the past 6 years get added, such as the long-awaited Story Mode and more refined editor, just feels amazing to actually experience.

So I loved Just Shapes & Beats and even consider it one of my top ten games. I have dozens of hours in it and platinumed it multiple times because I thought the premise and gameplay were just that good. So naturally, I was excited for Afterbeat (it was PA years ago when I bought it).
