This is a ton of fun but you are going to have problems out the gate. I am using a Xbox 360 controller and it took me a good while to remap the buttons so here is what I've done. It will be confusing at first but once you fire it up it will make sense.
Press F1 to open the Game Properties and go to whatever tab you need.

At the moment, (version 0.07) this is a game that shows a lot of promise, but definitely is covered in "construction" signs.
You are The Wanderer, which seems an odd title, as you clearly weren't a wanderer before the start of the game, unless you just wandered around town. Maybe all the other people in town are wanderers too? Anyway, you're a character...
