This game was played in its entirety on a MacBook Air M1 8gb ram 7c gpu running MacOS Sonoma. There were no bugs or crashes throughout my time with the game. All achievements unlocked at their appropriate times.

This was a fun puzzler, but I had some issues with it.

The gameplay is quite fun and I did not get bored of it throughout my time with the game, though my hands complained an awful lot. The puzzler here is a mix between minesweeper and sudoku. But it's essentially just minesweeper with the piece giving the number also being a part of the puzzle. That one little change does quite a bit of heavy lifting, as the entire mosaic still felt fresh towards the end.

The graphics are nice enough. Some of the music tracks are phenomenal, but the game is really going for a relaxing vibe, and to me, it will never be relaxing going from a soft piano track to a blaring saxophone. I wound up muting the game just so I would not have to hear the saxophone tracks.

The controls are good, with wasd allowing you keyboard scrolling, and holding mouse3 does the same. Unfortunately, every single piece is either a left or a right click, and that really started to kill my hands after a while. This puzzle is huge, and you will be clicking a lot!

My biggest issue is with the content. It's supposed to be a retrospective of the entire year, but I would say over 90% of the news articles were either directly about one person or closely related to that person. I've noticed a lot of people from the main dev's country almost have a sort of sick fascination with this person. Me, personally, I try to avoid any mention of the person. So, almost all of the content in this game was unpleasant to me. I wound up not reading the articles.

I think something more broadly appealing like riddles or interesting facts about the world would have been a better choice.

As it is, I will give the game a thumb's up because it was fun to play and had no bugs. But I will not buy another of these because of the content and because it was a hand killer.
