Reception

While still decent, the expansion to Breath of the Wild doesn't hit the same tune that the base game did.

The Champion's Ballad acts as a perfect tribute to both Breath of the Wild and to the Zelda series.

Through such arduous trials, the Champions' Ballad pushes Breath of the Wild's mechanics to their limits, whether combat or puzzles.

The Champions’ Ballad is everything a fan could want from the Zelda DLC pack. The new Shrines and Divine Beast alone add a solid six hours of content to the gigantic game, so, if you’re dying to return to Hyrule, the Expansion Pass is a necessity.

The Champions' Ballad is a satisfying send-off for one of the year's best games.
